El intendente, Dr. Carlos Briner, anunció que ya culminó la obra de cierre parcial del depósito de residuos sólidos urbanos ubicado al Norte de la ciudad.
El jefe municipal recorrió el lugar en compañía del secretario de Desarrollo Urbano, D.I. Germán Spilman y del director de Bromatología y Saneamiento, Ing. Ernesto Borrageros.
Precisamente este último funcionario, dio precisiones sobre la importante obra sobre la cual el municipio invirtió alrededor de $ 2.700.000.
Se recuperaron aproximadamente 12.000 m2 de terreno, donde se movilizaron más de 16.000 m3 de material, compactándolo a una altura de 6 metros en su máximo nivel y sobre la superficie de tierra se sembrará un manto vegetal, además de la plantación de árboles.
Dependiendo de los ingresos por el “Fondo especial para el tratamiento de residuos sólidos urbanos y saneamiento ambiental”, se irán cerrando otros espacios del sector para proceder luego al cierre definitivo.
Borrageros insistió en solicitar la colaboración del vecino para la separación en domicilio de los residuos, a fin de lograr la reducción de desechos que llegan al basural.
“Vamos avanzando hacia la posibilidad de habilitar un vertedero controlado y cerrar definitivamente el actual ubicado al Norte de la ciudad”, acotó.
