En el mediodía de hoy se dio otro importante paso para la instalación de una moderna Estación Transformadora de EPEC de 132 kV para nuestra ciudad.
Tal cual se decidió en su momento, la Mutual Sudecor cedió el espacio para el emplazamiento de la planta que demandará una inversión de más de 9 millones de dólares por parte de la Empresa Provincial de Energía de Córdoba.
En el acto desarrollado en el edificio de la entidad mutualista de calle Pío Angulo, se contó con la presencia de las principales autoridades de EPEC, Mutual Sudecor, del intendente Carlos Briner y del legislador provincial Dardo Iturria.
Todos coincidieron en señalar el trabajo en conjunto entre la empresa cordobesa, la Provincial, la entidad mutualista y el municipio para que esto sea realidad en el menor tiempo posible.
Se erigirá en el inmueble ubicado en calle Martín Malharro entre las arterias Entre Ríos e Hipólito Yrigoyen, con un tiempo de ejecución por parte de la empresa adjudicataria de 300 días.
Una vez en funcionamiento, dará cobertura de servicio eléctrico por al menos cinco décadas ya que puede abastecer a una ciudad de 100.000 habitantes, además de una mejora sustancial del servicio. Por su conformación, la estación, la segunda en su tipo en la Provincia, permite la ampliación de su capacidad ya que cuenta con una tecnología de última generación.
A la vez, posibilitará terminar con el pasivo ambiental que surge de la planta ubicada al Norte de la ciudad que genera electricidad con el uso de combustible y, sin lugar a dudas, se constituirá en una gran ventaja para la radicación de industrias con su consecuente beneficio en la contratación de mano de obra.
Además, junto con esta mega obra, entre otras importantes tareas se ensanchará la calle Martín Malharro con un cantero al medio, permitiendo el desarrollo urbano en el sector Oeste de la ciudad.
Es de destacar asimismo, que permitirá un “anillado” del ejido municipal, ya que la provisión de energía eléctrica provendrá de dos lugares distintos, por lo que si hay fallas en una de las líneas, puede haber otra que la reemplace hasta subsanar el inconveniente.
