- 01/08/1868: Ese día finalizó la construcción del Puente Sarmiento, obra fundamental para comunicar la vieja villa con la naciente estación del Ferrocarril Central Argentino que ya funcionaba. Se constituía en un inconmensurable logro del Pbro. Rubén Márquez.
- 02/08/1964: Se creó la Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Ubicada en Constitución 45, frente a la Plaza Rubén Márquez, tiene una amplia jurisdicción, abarcando los Barrios San Vicente y La Pirámide, Su primer cura párroco fue el Pbro. Enrique Biasutti.
- 03/08/2009: Se inauguró la Asociación Mutual Bell, en bulevar Colón 135. Se trató de una nuevo emprendimiento del Club Atlético y Biblioteca Bell, al cumplir los 105 años de su fundación.
