El secretario de Coordinación de Gabinete, Ernesto Borrageros, mantuvo una reunión con encargados de diferentes áreas, a fin de capacitarlos sobre el monitoreo por sistema de GPS (Sistema de Posicionamiento Global) con los que cuentan los vehículos oficiales que posee la Municipalidad.
Ambulancias, camiones, colectivos, camiones compactadores, etc. cuentan con esos dispositivos.
De esta manera se siguen incorporando nuevas tecnologías en procura de mejorar la eficiencia del estado municipal.
La tecnología de geoposicionamiento (GPS) permite monitorear y controlar la utilización de los vehículos municipales, localizando las unidades en tiempo real en cualquier lugar donde se encuentren prestando servicio en la vía pública, la hora, la velocidad y los agentes responsables de cada uno de los rodados.
Posibilita contar con una base de datos para conformar estadísticas diarias, mensuales y anuales, sobre recorrido, consumo de combustibles estimado, etc.
Otros beneficios son: brindar mayor seguridad al personal, aumentar la productividad de los servicios prestados, optimizar el funcionamiento de los rodados y lograr un mayor cuidado de las unidades.
