Como muy positiva calificó el secretario de Desarrollo Social, Horacio Pelletti, la experiencia recogida en la ciudad santafesina de Funes, donde el municipio local lleva adelante un exitoso trabajo, reconocido en el país por los resultados logrados en materia de salud animal y comunitaria, abordadas desde un enfoque integral.
“La del lunes y martes de esta semana fue una visita programada luego de varios encuentros virtuales con el Área de Salud Animal de Funes y localidades de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, sobre el control reproductivo de perros y gatos”, indicó Pelletti.
La delegación bellvillense estuvo integrada por el mencionado secretario, el titular de la Secretaría de Coordinación de Gabinete, Ernesto Borrageros, la concejal Gladys Fucili, integrantes del Centro Municipal de Salud Animal y referentes del proteccionismo de animales.
Al respecto remarcó que “si bien se viene trabajando correctamente en nuestra ciudad, se ha adquirido un mayor aprendizaje en cuanto al personal a ocupar, modalidad y formas, por lo que estamos convencidos que esto se puede replicar en nuestra ciudad”.
No obstante, aclaró que la modalidad aplicada en Funes, llevó implementarla no menos de 15 años. Para ello fue un insistente trabajo con la población para que colaborara y entendiera la tenencia responsable de animales. “Esto quiere decir que en el caso de nuestra ciudad, los resultados comenzarán a evidenciarse en el mediano y largo plazo. Sin el apoyo y colaboración de la población, este programa no tendrá los alcances esperados. En Funes no se ven perros abandonados en la calle y los animales que pudimos apreciar, contaban con su collar y correa.”, remarcó.
Con respecto al castrador móvil, informó que ya está en el Corralón Municipal y cuenta con tecnología de avanzada para la atención de la salud de perros y gatos. Entrará en funcionamiento una vez que se cumplan distintos requisitos y contratación del seguro correspondiente, entre otros.
