En el salón municipal Walter de Navazio, se desarrolló el acto por el Día de la Policía Federal Argentina a 200 años de su creación.
La ceremonia fue presidida por el Jefe de la División Unidad Operativa Federal local, comisario Enrique Quinteros, acompañado del segundo Jefe, subcomisario Ángel Cantero, el Juez Federal Dr. Sergio Pinto, demás autoridades de la justicia, el presidente del Concejo Deliberante, Dr. Ernesto Gavier; los Secretarios de Coordinación de Gabinete y de Desarrollo Social de la Municipalidad, Ing. Ernesto Borrageros y Dr. Horacio Pelletti, como así también, autoridades de fuerzas de seguridad, bomberiles, eclesiásticas, personal en situación de retiro de la Policía Federal, invitados especiales y vecinos.
Tras la entonación de las estrofas del Himno Nacional, se evocó con un fuerte “presente” y posterior toque de clarín, al Cabo 1º Diego Alejandro Di Giacomo caído en cumplimiento de su deber.
El presbítero Carlos Fillol pronunció una invocación religiosa y bendijo los reconocimientos que luego se entregaron.
El discurso estuvo a cargo del comisario Quinteros, tras lo cual fue distinguido el personal perteneciente al numerario de la unidad local, que en el transcurso de este año sobresalió entre sus pares, en las distintas funciones que requiere a diario la tarea policial.
Los actos concluyeron con la entonación de las estrofas de la marcha de la Policía Federal y el descubrimiento ya en la sede de la fuerza, de una plaqueta conmemorativa por los 200 años de la institución.
