Al participar ayer del Primer Encuentro Nacional de Biodiverciudades, organizado por la Municipalidad de Córdoba y el Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), el intendente de nuestra ciudad, Carlos Briner, destacó la importancia de planificar por parte de los municipios, acciones para hacer frente al grave problema del cambio climático, además del valor del trabajo mancomunado de la Red Argentina de Municipios frente al Cambio Climático (RAMCC).
El encuentro, que se llevó a cabo en el Centro Cultural Córdoba con modalidad mixta – presencial y virtual – contó con la presencia del intendente capitalino Martín Llaryora, mientras que el experto en Bioeconomía del Instituto de Investigación de Biodiversidad de Colombia Alexander Von Humboldt, Mario Murcia, desarrolló elementos conceptuales y ejemplos de nuevas industrias y herramientas inspiradas en la biodiversidad.
Concluida la apertura, más de 30 intendentes de diversas provincias participaron de una mesa de diálogo en torno a temas relativos al papel de la bioeconomía en los esquemas de planificación local, con especial énfasis en aquellas políticas que permitan gestionar eficientemente las tensiones entre un desarrollo económico local y el aprovechamiento sostenible de los recursos naturales.
El encuentro cerró con la firma de la adhesión a la Declaración de Barranquilla, que impulsa la promoción de Biodiverciudades en América Latina y el Caribe, así como su futura articulación en red.
