La nueva construcción tiene 60 cm. de ancho y con una profundidad que llega a los 80 cm. en su descarga en el otro desagüe principal, convirtiéndose en una importante solución a los problemas de anegamientos que sufren los vecinos del sector en el caso de lluvias.
La tarea debió ejecutarse a través del Fondo de Desarrollo Urbano 2019 acordado entre la Provincia y el municipio, y al no llegar los aportes se decidió afrontar su costo total con aportes propios de la Municipalidad, a través del Plan Barrial de Recuperación Urbana y Vial, teniendo en cuenta la importancia del trabajo que no soportaba más dilaciones.
El ducto tiene una parte subterránea en el paso por calle San Gerónimo, a fin que el drenaje de agua continúe por el canal ya construido.
Lleva cubiertas en ingresos a comercios, viviendas y lugares especiales, para lo cual se elaboraron en el Corralón Municipal las correspondientes tapas con estructura de hierro y relleno con cemento en obra.
