El municipio debió realizar una importante obra de infraestructura que posibilitó el nexo de agua potable para el loteo del futuro barrio Los Espinillos, destinando una inversión de $ 2.843.500.
Consta de 575 metros de cañería de 160 mm de diámetro entre las calles Brasil y Ombú. El sistema se conecta a dos cañerías existentes, una sobre calle Brasil y la restante en avenida Maipú.
De esta manera, se garantiza la dotación de agua potable al sector urbanístico denominado Los Espinillos que consta de 200 lotes nuevos para la ciudad. La importante y costosa infraestructura, permite equilibrar las necesidades de presiones para ese barrio y otros desarrollos inmobiliarios como Abuela Berta y un amplio sector Suroeste de la ciudad en pleno crecimiento.
